chinese new year...still

[that's what I played today]

Yeah, I had only myself to thank for losing at mahjong 3 times in a row. With no end in sight, I despaired. Thankfully we only played 3 games (yes, only) so I lost a grand total of 5 bucks. Wtf? And my aunt was kind enough to give me an extra 3 bucks for trying so hard NOT to lose. I really need more practice. I couldn't even flip the cards/cubes/tiles properly. Like you know, take one entire row of them and flip them? Yeah. One instance I even chucked the entire row onto the table, exposing my hand. Talk about bad luck.

Went to watch I Not Stupid 2 after that. There's something I still don't understand: how come so many people are against that show? I mean, come on, give Jack Neo some long-deserved credit. He's one of the more successful directors ever to jump onto the filming bandwagon. What's more, he's a local! I know the storyline of his movies may not appeal to some, childish maybe, but he really delves deep into the human psyche and brings to light some of the issues that we face today, or those that we shy away from. I love watching Neo's movies because in the midst of Hollywood films, stereotyped Japanese geishas, gay cowboys etc, comes an honest, gripping, and very real portrayal of Singapore life. He's real maestro in infusing the fallacies of the Sg Govt. together with the effect it has on it's citizens. Combining it with his trademark humour and fun-poking at the garmen's expense, he has created a real work of art. Well done, Jack.

Came home and went online, talked to Sherylene for a while. Met her rather cute looking friend online, Steph (Stephanie?) and talked to her. Haha. Can't imagine me taking an interest in a Sec 2 gal can you? Nah, nothing wrong in that. Haha, come on, I was interested in her after all. Nothing doing, I can assure you.

And Gilbert, please stop chewing me out. You know there'll be nothing left if you continue knawing.
