More news: New Nissan GT-R

All Godzilla fans, rejoice. Pop the champagne and indulge yourselves in debauchery. The iconic Skyline zhngmobile has - after 40 long, long years - metamorphosed into a car that quite simply, looks like no other, and should drive quite well too.

Only that it's not called the Skyline now. Nissan has decided that it is going to drop the Skyline name for all world markets, and just simply name it GT-R. That should help in marketing this car as a hardcore, lightning fast Jap rocketship capable of possibly outsmarting the Porsche 911 at its own game.

So far there haven't been any stats about the car yet, the only things revealed about it are that it will retain all-wheel drive (AWD) and possess a V8 motor. Do expect it to be a huge show stealer in the Tokyo Motor Show on 24th October where the production version will see its maiden launch.
